The BASS Awards 2017 nominees have been announced and Ghanaian reggae/dancehall act Stonebwoy leads the pack with nine (9) nominations.

 The annual award ceremony which celebrates excellence in reggae and dancehall music in Ghana.

 The BET Awards winner was nominated, among others, in the "Dancehall Artiste of the Year", "Dancehall Collaboration", "Performer of the Year", "Reggae Song" and " Artiste of the Year" categories.

The public holds 60% votes for only four (4) categories. These include the "Dancehall Song of the Year", "Reggae Song of the Year", "Discovery of the Year" and "Performer of the Year". Winners of the other categories will be determined by the board which is chaired Daddy Bosco.
